Simon Kitson (born 1967) is a British historian. Kitson did his undergraduate studies at the University of Ulster 〔http://www.niconnections.com/Images/whyni_education.pdf〕 and his post-graduate studies at the University of Sussex,〔http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/ED1406/S00087/university-professor-to-be-interviewed-on-bbc-radio.htm〕 under the supervision of Roderick Kedward. His doctoral thesis on the Marseille Police, was examined by Mark Mazower and Clive Emsley.
